Pelosi was instrumental in the advancement of the health care bill, the stabilization of the minimum wage, the re-examination of the establishment of Wall Street firms, and the stimulation of the country’s economy. She was also the first female Speaker of the House, and the first Italian-American to ever hold the post, besides. After Vice President Joe Biden, she has the highest political position. No wonder why she was considered as America’s most powerful woman.
